Vurt the RPG is a funded reality!

It's been a long time coming, and an insane amount of work, but our dream role-playing game will be in your hands and on your screens soon. We're so blown away by the amazing energy and support we've received from this awesome new gaming community. 544 backers is a tremendous player base to start with and it represents only a portion of the people who will be digging into Vurt: The Tabletop Role-Playing Game when it is finished. Humbled and invigorated, we can't wait to start reading all those adventure recaps we know people will be posting!

We appreciate and take very seriously the trust you've put in us to deliver this fantastic RPG. With an unbelievably rich corebook, packed full of everything we gamers could want, we'll be able to continue well beyond that initial publication. We'll be able to get you your crafting manual, adventures and sourcebooks, all of the same top-quality content and art. More gamers will be introduced to Vurt, and with an active player base, all of the wonderful plans we have are going to become a reality. This is just the first step in the journey into the Vurt.

For over a year now, Alexander and Lee have been outlining, writing and investigating. So much of the groundwork has been laid, and the Vurt plan of attack is incredibly well organized. Whiteboards, timelines and sketches from the artists cover the walls. We're not starting from scratch, far from it. We're in a wonderful spot with all of the work we've done already, and we're looking forward to going full time on development, and completing what will be the best RPG ever. What? Best ever? Strong words... But we're talking about Vurt here!

We're wasting no time in development. New art is, and has been coming in quickly. The 2 hour Vurt ambient soundtrack has a team of 3 people behind it, and Adam Gubman has already begun writing. We have the best editor around (Logan Decker, former editor in chief for PC gamer magazine). Jeff Noon has started writing the original material, and we can't begin to tell you how awesome it is already!

Ravendesk Games is jumping in head first to the Vurt now. You'll hear all about the progress, receive those cool backer rewards and then, by summer 2016, the Vurt RPG corebook bursts into reality as the first of many great Vurt: The Tabletop Role-Playing Game publications and game products. We are committed to keeping all of you well informed as far as development progress, with regularly scheduled updates. Stay tuned for details, you wonderful featherheads. We are going to exceed, nay, annihilate all expectations and deliver the best of the best.

The Real World puts a feather in its mouth...

THANK YOU from the bottom of our polyhedral hearts,

Alexander, Lee and Logan

24 HOURS TO GO!
over 8 years ago – Thu, Sep 10, 2015 at 06:09:10 AM

Well, well, well, Kittlings...

We're here.

It's the final day in funding-land before we open the gates of development-land wide. So far so great, but we could use your help to spread the word even more. Let's reach out one last time to fellow gamers and fans of sci-fi who'd be interested in Vurt: The Tabletop Role-Playing Game.

The previous 24 hours have seen a significant increase in number of backers, we expect these upcoming final 24 hours to also be full of new eyes on the game. We'll welcome them with open arms and loads of feathers.

The comment section of the kickstarter page also has some new information we posted about the setting and our approach, and some responses to great Vurt questions that had been raised. Your excitement has been contagious and your input greatly appreciated.

So all hail the great steam machine, let's make this last day of funding boom, unlock stretch goals, and run strong to the finish line. To arms, featherheads!
