Great news folks! Your Kickstarter exclusive adventure is available to download right now!

Ravendesk writer Pete Sauber created this adventure as an homage to one of roleplaying's most iconic adventure modules, The Keep on the Borderlands. We have had a blast running it. Now it's your turn!

In They Keep to the Borderlands, your party will scour the streets and ginnels of Manchester for a copy of the coveted and hard-to-find bootleg dream "Blue Gygax B2." Get ready for a glorious bout of hack-and-slash dreaming as you find out what treasures and dangers lie in the borderlands of the Vurt!

Head over to your Backerkit account and click on "Digital Downloads" to get your PDF copy now! As ever feel free to send any comments or questions to [email protected]!

Happy Monday, Vurt players!

We've started receiving reports of awesome Vurt games taking place out there! We are so pumped to hear that your games are taking off, so keep those stories coming! Eventually, we'd love to start posting narrative accounts of your games into updates or on www.ravendeskgames.com so do like we do, keep a journal of your adventures!

Between preparation for Gen Con 50 in Indianapolis and the finalization of the other pieces of the Vurt Kickstarter, we're busy as bees over here. The Player's Guide and Kickstarter-exclusive adventure are getting very close to being finished and ready to join the corebook at the printers! As soon as we get that finished, we'll create a hyperlinked version of each and add them to the digital rewards section of your backerkit account. We will send out a notification when those are ready. By next week I expect we'll be able to announce the date that the printed books will be arriving at our warehouse, which will enable us to make a good estimate as to when the rewards can be shipped out to you.

Until next week, keep rolling those d20s!

We're off to the printers!

Well, we've gotten the corebook formatted for the printers and we've sent the documents along. There is a special ops unit called the "prepress team" who will be examining our print ready pdf for any errors which would result in the pages not printing properly. They'll let us know shortly and then send over some printed proofs which will be examples of exactly how our pages will look. Assuming that they look absolutely amazing (they will!) we'll push the button on the printing presses and the books will be on the way!

This is a really exciting step for us, in light of all the work that has gone into the book, but it's even more rewarding to be able to tell you that we're moving into the world of tangible items!

Last week I dropped a teaser for the standalone adventure. It is possible that one of you deciphered the clue (likely a gamer of advancing years, like ourselves!), but in case you didn't catch it. Here is another one. Pete Sauber did a bang-up job on this adventure and I can't wait for you guys to get ahold of it.

Until next week, robofolks!

Monday update 6/12
almost 7 years ago – Mon, Jun 12, 2017 at 11:23:19 PM

Hello again, Featherheads!

As of today we are officially finished working on the Vurt corebook!  The updated version of the corebook PDF is being uploaded to Backerkit as we speak and will be available for you all to download shortly. I encourage you go pick up this copy and toss the previous version into ye olde recycle bin as this latest version contains some new artwork and many small fixes. This is the version that will be headed to print shortly. The designer is modifying the document to conform to the printing specifications already, so we expect to be able to send it off to the printers in the next few days!

So, now that we're done messing with the corebook, what is left for us to do? Well, the next big thing on the table is the Player's Guide, which is largely an excerpt of the corebook containing everything a player needs to create a character and get a basic idea of how to play the game. Also the standalone adventure is in the layout phase and will be finished shortly. I'm posting one of the area maps from the adventure to give you an idea of what it's about. Want a clue? Think waaaay back!

Standby for your Backerkit notices, or head over to the digital downloads section of your Backerkit account to get your final PDF!

Until next week!

Monday update 6/5
almost 7 years ago – Mon, Jun 05, 2017 at 07:35:43 PM

Hello again Vurt backers!

Work continues on the Player's Guide and final version of the corebook document. It was my intention to upload the final version of the corebook this afternoon, but a few last minute fixes upset my timing and I'll be uploading it to backerkit in the next couple of days. I'll send out an update via backerkit at that time, directing you to the digital downloads page where the final version will be located. Along with a host of small fixes, we've added some new artwork which we're excited about, including this cool picture of a pure robo by Filip Dudek.

The Player's Guide is coming along nicely and the plan is that we'll have all these printed products arriving at the warehouse sometime next month. That's when we'll assemble the goodies and start mailing them! I can't give a specific date at this time, as there are a number of production schedules that have to agree, but that's what we're working toward.

As ever, feel free to send me an email at [email protected] if you have any questions or comments!

Next milestone, the final pdf version, coming soon!
